ARM and Cadence: Playing with fire, part deux

A few days ago, I wrote a blog about a “fireside chat” between Simon Segars, ARM’s EVP and General Manager PIPD (physical intellectual property division), and John Bruggeman, a Senior VP and Chief Marketing Officer at Cadence. Now, my good friend, long-time EDA observer and journalist, and now Cadence blogger Richard Goering has published his own take on the conversation, with a very interesting deep dive into one very salient question: “In a world gone crazy about software applications, how do hardware developers differentiate their hardware?”
