Earlier, I published my comments from the recent IP panel at the Virtual SoC Conference 2.0, held by EETimes. Unfortunately, I couldn’t take notes and participate at the same time (I’m not as good a multitasker as the processers I speak and write about), so I wasn’t able to discuss the comments of the other panelists in that first blog entry. Fortunately, Richard Goering has now published his review of the panel and you will find the reading worthwhile if you are at all interested in using IP to construct SoCs. (If you’re not interested, then you’re not building SoCs.)
You’ll find Richard’s comments here.
I still plan to publish a link to the event archive when it’s available.
