For aficionados of system design—another video teardown from Dave Jones: The Agilent InfiniiVision 3000 X-Series DSO

Last week, Dave Jones gave us a video teardown of Agilent’s new InfiniiVision 2000 X-Series low-cost digital sampling oscilloscopes (DSOs). This week, he gives us another half an hour of video showing a teardown of the DSO’s bigger, better, faster brother: the Agilent InfiniiVision 3000 X-Series DSO. It’s an eye-opener in that the video teardown reveals many interesting aspects to the development of closely related a 26-member family of DSOs. Dave does a great job of highlighting the surprising differences and similarities between the two closely coupled DSO families. There’s a lot to learn here about the many facets of system and SoC design and Dave’s just the right guy highlight these facets and explain them, in his highly entertaining, excitedly enthusiastic way.
