Friday Video: The Easter Egg in the Agilent InfiniiVision 3000 X-Series DSO

Great artists like Picasso, Monet, and Dali usually their paintings. Ditto great composers who put their names on their manuscripts. You don’t often find novels written by anonymous authors, with some exceptions when the book’s contents are incendiary. However, engineers rarely get to sign their products. A notable exception was the original Apple Macintosh where the names of the design team are indelibly inscribed inside of each plastic case.

Engineers, being creative people, have found a way to sign their products when those products are software-centric. They install Easter Eggs. So it’s no surprise that the new Agilent InfiniiVision X-Series DSOs contain a video Easter Egg and it’s also not a surprise that Dave Jones’ electronic spelunking has discovered that Easter Egg. Here it is on video:
