Friday Video: “Defective Robots” animation shows what happens when systems aren’t designed right

A while back, I wrote about Steve Furber’s keynote speech at DATE. Furber described the SpiNNaker project, which is attempting to build a highly interconnected web of processors on one SoC for the purposes of brain research. Here’s a short, 2-minute video that points to one possible outcome if we model robotic brains too closely on our own brains:
