Friday Video and Apps-Driven: Apps and cars. What could be cooler?

What could be cooler than apps and cars? This 3-minute MSNBC video reviews new cars that support a wide variety of apps several diverse ways. The video was shot at the 2011 New York Auto Show and it illustrates how even auto designers have decided that they can enhance the sexiness and marketability of their glass, steel, aluminum, and plastic sculptures with some silicon, broadband communications, and LCDs thrown in. (Note the one guy, thrown in for balance, who still just wants to design good cars. I mean, who wants that, right?)

Oh yes, I might have mentioned this before. The increasingly apps-driven nature of today’s consumer products is a central theme within EDA360. (See Richard Goering’s “Ten Key Ideas Behind EDA360 – A Revisit.“) Just wanted to be sure I reminded you of that.
