I am a big fan of David Hobby’s blog, also known as “The Strobist.” His topic is always related to photography and the use of off-camera flash for making better images. I’ve met Hobby and taken one of his superlative live classes when he came to teach in San Jose a couple of years ago. So it was with great surprise to find that he has just written a pretty valuable high-level overview of System Realization for his Strobist blog, from the perspective of someone who buys “systems” (camera flashes) directly from China. Hobby’s insights on design, marketing, and sales to be gotten from this short blog (you can read it in less than five minutes) are not to be missed. Seriously.
