Next month’s meeting of the Santa Clara chapter of the IEEE Computer Society is about the successful use of AI in design. Specifically, the talk by Professor Jason Lohn of Carnegie Mellon University, Silicon Valley Campus, is about the use of AI tools to design an optimized antenna that looks like a haphazardly bent paper clip. The talk starts at 7pm on Tuesday, October 11. At 6:30 pm, you can get a slice or two (or three) of Costco pizza (surprisingly good) and a soda for $2. The talk’s free and will take place on the Cadence San Jose campus in Building 10 (look for the big red numbers at the top of each building, or just look for the tallest building on campus).
