Friday Video: Mercedes builds invisible car to emphasize low environmental impact of its F-CELL hydrogen vehicle

Just caught this cool video of a conventionally-powered fossil fuel Mercedes B-class car equipped with an invisibility cloak. The cloak places a blanket of RGB LEDs on one side of the vehicle (the cloaked side) and the other side is equipped with a Canon EOS dSLR operating in video mode to drive the LEDs. The invisibility cloak adds a quarter of a million dollars and 1100 pounds of equipment to the vehicle so don’t look for it to be a readily available option.

The point that Mercedes is trying to make is that its F-CELL car powered by a hydrogen fuel cell will have “zero” impact on the environment.
