Got time for a simple question? What do you think about tablet-based EDA tools?

Daniel Payne has just written a SemiWiki blog post about using a schematic capture and spice tool on an iPad. His observations are interesting, and his conclusion is that touch-based EDA doesn’t work as well for him as a mouse-driven interface. There may be other issues as well such as screen resolution and CPU performance. Payne’s post made me wonder—what do others think about tablet-based EDA tools?

Well, what do you think?

Not a bad idea for create initial circuits. However all simulations needs almost complete power of server as simulations are memory and computation hungry.
